Our Spring Catholic Wedding on the Eastern Shore of Maryland!

A Rainy Wedding Day, Full of Spring Pastel Colors and Sentimental Details.

Welcome to OUR WEDDING!! It was the greatest joy of my life to marry my husband, Dominic, alongside our dearest family and friends. In the early days of Cana Wedding Co, Dominic attended many weddings with me as an extra set of hands, so we both had high expectations for our own wedding one day. It is safe to say that every moment was more incredible than we could have ever imagined!!

Our wedding invitation suite by Pieta Paperie brought all eyes to the Sacrament, from the moment guests recieved our Save the Dates. We included a custom prayer card, asking guests to pray for us as we approached the Sacrament, and a nod to our love story, having met as students at Catholic University and spending many days at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

We had the pleasure of hosting our families, wedding party, and guests at the Wylder in Tilghman Island all wedding weekend. It was a beautifully serene spot to spend time with our closest family and friends for our rehearsal dinner, getting ready morning, reception, and after party! After a lovely morning, I did a first look with my dad and then we were off to St Michael’s Catholic Church in St Michaels, MD for our Nuptial Mass. Walking down the aisle to my weepy groom and seeing all of the little details come together in the beauty of the Mass was truly such a joy. We were blessed to be married on Dominic’s Grandparent’s wedding anniversary, so Father give them a blessing at the end of Mass as well, one of our favorite moments.

Just as we started driving off to our reception, the storm clouds were rolling in, raining out our waterfront cocktail hour and newlywed photos which we were so excited for. I guess that comes with a spring wedding, right? Regardless of the rain, we had so much fun with our wedding party and walking around with our clear umbrellas during photos. Meanwhile, guests signed our guest book and enjoyed a drink in the lounge bar. We also included a football helmet for guest signatures, as a nod to Dominic’s days playing football, which we now have proudly displayed in our home and is still one of our favorite details!

After kicking off our reception with dances, toasts, and dinner - Dominic and I made our rounds saying hello to our tables, something we are SO glad we prioritized! Once we finished chatting with our favorite people, I slipped out of my drenched, very heavy wedding gown, and into a dancing dress. We ended the night with cigars along the water and dancing with our friends, siblings, and new spouse. It was truly the best day which I wish we could relive again and again!

A very special thank you to our vendor team:
